Setting Up Eva Agent Search for Accurate Screening Criteria

When you assign a job to Eva from your ATS, Eva uses the Agent Search criteria to find and match candidates. If the Agent Search is not completed before assigning the job, Eva will have blank screening criteria and will not return accurate matches.

This article explains how to set up the Agent Search correctly to get the best results from Eva.


✅ Why Agent Search Matters

Eva relies on the screening criteria to:

  • Search for matching candidates in your internal database.

  • Score and rank candidates based on relevance.

  • Display candidates in your Active Jobs and Working Set.

If the Agent Search is empty, Eva has nothing to search against. This results in:

  • No candidates appearing in the Working Set.

  • Jobs showing in Active Jobs but with zero matches.

  • Recruiters needing to manually enter screening criteria, adding extra steps.


📋 How to Set Up Agent Search (JobDiva)

—> Step 1: Open the job in JobDiva

  1. Log in to JobDiva.

  2. Navigate to the Jobs page.

  3. Open the job you want to assign to Eva.

—> Step 2: Complete the Agent Search

  1. In the job record, go to the Agent Search section.

  2. Fill in the key search criteria:

    • Job title / Keywords — The primary skills or role title to search for.

    • Location — City, state, or zip code with radius.

    • Experience — Minimum years of experience required.

    • Skills — Specific technical or professional skills.

    • Any additional filters — Education, certifications, work authorization, etc.

  3. Click Save to save the Agent Search.

Important: The Agent Search must be saved before you assign the job to Eva. If you assign the job first and fill in the Agent Search later, Eva may not pick up the criteria automatically.

—> Step 3: Assign the job to Eva

  1. From the JobDiva Jobs page, select the job.

  2. Click the option to Initiate Eva (or assign to Eva, depending on your setup).

  3. Eva will pull the Agent Search criteria and begin finding candidates.


🔍 What If the Screening Criteria Is Blank?

If you have already assigned a job to Eva and the screening criteria appears blank in the CrintellTech dashboard:

—> Option 1: Go back to your ATS and complete the Agent Search

  1. Open the job in JobDiva.

  2. Fill in and save the Agent Search criteria.

  3. Re-initiate Eva from the ATS.

—> Option 2: Manually enter screening criteria in the CrintellTech app

  1. Log in to the CrintellTech web app at app.crintelltech.com.

  2. Navigate to Active Jobs.

  3. Find the job and click to open it.

  4. Enter the screening criteria manually.

Recommendation: Completing the Agent Search in your ATS (Option 1) is the preferred approach, as it ensures consistency between your ATS and CrintellTech.

—> Does this apply to all ATS platforms?

The Agent Search workflow described above is specific to JobDiva. If you use a different ATS (Ceipal, LaborEdge, Bullhorn, etc.), the process for defining search criteria may be different. Contact support@crintelltech.com for guidance specific to your ATS.

—> Can I update the screening criteria after the job is already in Eva?

Yes. You can update the Agent Search in your ATS and re-sync, or manually update the screening criteria in the CrintellTech web app. Updated criteria will apply to future candidate matching.

—> The job shows in Active Jobs but not in my Working Set. Why?

A job appears in Active Jobs when it is assigned to Eva. It appears in the Working Set when matching candidates are found. If the screening criteria is blank or too narrow, no candidates will match and the job will not appear in your Working Set.

Solution: Review the screening criteria and broaden the search terms if necessary.

—> I filled in the Agent Search but Eva still shows no matches. What should I do?

If the Agent Search is completed and saved but Eva is not returning matches:

  • Check that the criteria is not too restrictive (e.g., very specific skill combination + narrow location + high experience requirement).

  • Verify that the job is in an active state in both your ATS and CrintellTech.
