Configuring Source Mapping for ATS Integrations
When Recruitment Assist pushes a candidate profile to your ATS (such as JobDiva, Ceipal, or LaborEdge), it needs to know which source email address to use for each job board. This article explains how source mapping works and how to ensure it is configured correctly.
✅ What Is Source Mapping?
Source mapping tells Recruitment Assist which ATS email address to use when pushing a candidate from a specific job board. Each job board you use should have a corresponding email address configured in your ATS.
For example, if your company uses JobDiva and sources candidates from Indeed and Dice, you would have two source email addresses:
When a recruiter pushes a candidate from Indeed, Recruitment Assist uses the Indeed email address so that the candidate's source is correctly recorded as "Indeed" in your ATS.
🔍 What Happens If Source Mapping Is Missing?
If a job board does not have a source email configured, Recruitment Assist will use one of the other available email addresses as a fallback. This means candidates pushed from that job board may appear with an incorrect source in your ATS.
Example: A recruiter pushes a candidate from Indeed, but the Indeed source email was never configured. Recruitment Assist uses the Monster email address instead. The candidate now shows "Monster" as the source in JobDiva, even though they were found on Indeed.
This is a configuration issue, not a bug. It can be fixed by providing the correct source email address for the missing job board.
📋 How to Set Up Source Mapping
—> Step 1: Identify all job boards your team uses
Make a list of every job board your recruiters actively source from. Common job boards include:
Indeed
LinkedIn
Dice
Monster
CareerBuilder
Resume Library
ZipRecruiter
Vivian (healthcare)
—> Step 2: Get the ATS email address for each job board
Log in to your ATS (JobDiva, Ceipal, etc.) and locate the dedicated email address for each job board source. In JobDiva, these are typically formatted as:
If you are unsure how to find these, contact your ATS administrator or ATS support team.
—> Step 3: Send the list to CrintellTech support
Email support@crintelltech.com with the following information:
Your company name
A list of each job board and its corresponding ATS email address
Our team will configure the source mapping and notify you once it is live in production.
🔄 Adding a New Job Board Later
If your team starts using a new job board after the initial setup, you will need to provide the corresponding ATS email address so we can add it to your configuration.
Simply email support@crintelltech.com with:
The job board name (e.g., Vivian, ZipRecruiter)
The ATS email address for that source
Changes are typically applied within 1 business day.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
—> I see candidates with the wrong source in my ATS. How do I fix it?
This is usually caused by a missing source mapping. Send us the correct ATS email address for the affected job board and we will configure it. Going forward, new candidates pushed from that job board will have the correct source.
Note: Previously pushed candidates with the incorrect source will need to be manually corrected in your ATS.
—> We use multiple ATS platforms. Can source mapping work for both?
Yes. If your team uses more than one ATS (e.g., JobDiva and Ceipal), we can configure source mapping for each. Please provide the email addresses for all ATS platforms.
—> What if we do not have a dedicated email for a job board in our ATS?
Some ATS platforms allow you to create new source-specific email addresses. Contact your ATS administrator to set one up. If your ATS does not support this feature, let us know and we can discuss alternative approaches.
—> Is source mapping required for all job boards?
Source mapping is only needed for job boards your team actively uses. If a job board is not in use, it does not need to be configured.
