How to Update Recruitment Assist and Chrome Browser
After a new version of Recruitment Assist is released, you will need to update both your Chrome browser and the extension to ensure everything works correctly. Follow these five steps in order.
Why is this important? Job boards like Indeed, LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, and CareerBuilder update their websites periodically. When they do, we release a new version of Recruitment Assist to keep resume push working smoothly. Without updating, you may experience push failures or missing features.
✅ Step 1: Update Google Chrome
Open Google Chrome on your computer.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome.
Go to Help → About Google Chrome.
Chrome will automatically check for updates and install them.
Click Relaunch when prompted.
Tip: You can verify your current Chrome version on this page. We recommend always using the latest stable version.

✅ Step 2: Update the Recruitment Assist Extension
In Chrome, type
chrome://extensionsin the address bar and press Enter.Toggle Developer mode ON using the switch in the top-right corner.
Click the Update button that appears at the top of the page.
Wait a few seconds for all extensions to update.
Toggle Developer mode OFF.
Note: If you do not manually update, Chrome will automatically update the extension within 6–8 hours. However, we recommend updating manually so you can start using the latest version right away.

Click the Recruitment Assist icon in your Chrome toolbar.
The version number is displayed at the bottom of the popup window.
Compare it with the version number shared by your IT team or CrintellTech support.
✅ Step 3: Close All Job Board Tabs
If you currently have any job board open — Indeed, LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, or CareerBuilder — close those tabs completely.
This ensures the updated extension loads fresh when you reopen the portal. Simply refreshing the page is not sufficient; the tab must be closed and reopened.
✅ Step 4: Log Out and Log Back In to Recruitment Assist

Click the Recruitment Assist icon in your Chrome toolbar.
Click Sign Out.

Visit crintelltech.com and click Login in the top-right corner.
Enter your official email ID and password.
If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password or email support@crintelltech.com.

Click the Recruitment Assist icon in your browser toolbar.
Your name should appear — this confirms you are signed in.
Important: Clearing cookies alone does not log you out of the extension. You must use the Sign Out option within Recruitment Assist.
✅ Step 5: Reopen the Job Board and Test
Open your job board (Indeed, LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, or CareerBuilder).
Navigate to a candidate profile that has contact details (phone number or email).
Verify that the Recruitment Assist popup appears and the profile push completes successfully.
If a duplicate notification (black box) appears, this means the candidate already exists in your ATS — this is expected behavior.

Recruitment Assist only works on Google Chrome. If you have multiple browsers installed, make sure you are using the browser where the extension is installed. Activity on other browsers (Edge, Firefox, Safari) will not be tracked.

—> Our IT team restricts extension updates. What should we do?
Ask your IT administrator to allow updates for the CrintellTech Recruitment Assist extension. The extension ID can be found at chrome://extensions. Your IT team can whitelist this extension for automatic updates.
—> I updated, but my name still does not appear on the daily report. Why?
Your daily activity report tracks actions performed through the Recruitment Assist extension. If your name is missing from the report, it usually means one of the following:
You are using a different browser than the one where Recruitment Assist is installed.
You were not logged in to the extension when browsing the job board.
The extension version is outdated.
Complete all five steps above and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Updates are released as needed when job boards change their website structure or when new features are added. You will typically be notified by your IT team or CrintellTech support when an update is available.
