Fix Sign-In Status Mismatch

If you've successfully signed in to Recruitment Assist but the extension still shows you as signed out, this usually indicates a browser cache or authentication issue.

What's happening

Your credentials are valid and accepted by the server, but the extension isn't recognizing your signed-in state. This happens when:

  • ๐Ÿ”„ Your browser cache contains outdated session data

  • ๐Ÿช Cookies aren't syncing properly between the web app and extension

  • ๐Ÿ”Œ Chrome needs to refresh its connection to CrintellTech services

Quick fix

Follow these steps in order. Most users resolve this issue after step 2.

1. ๐Ÿ”„ Update Chrome

Outdated browser versions can cause authentication conflicts.

Check for updates:

  • Click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) in Chrome's top-right corner

  • Select Help > About Google Chrome

  • Chrome will check for updates automatically

2. ๐Ÿช Clear cookies and cache

Clearing your browser data removes corrupted session information.

Important: This signs you out of all websites. Have your passwords ready.

3. ๐Ÿ” Restart Chrome completely

A full restart ensures all changes take effect.

  1. Close all Chrome windows (don't just minimizeโ€”actually quit)

  2. Wait 5 seconds

  3. Reopen Chrome

  4. Go to crintelltech.com and sign in

  5. Click the Recruitment Assist extension icon to verify your name appears

4. ๐Ÿ”ง Reinstall the extension (if issue persists)

If you're still seeing the sign-in mismatch after the steps above, the extension may need to be reset.

Remove the extension:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) > Settings > Extensions

  2. Find CrintellTech Recruitment Assist

  3. Click Remove and confirm

Reinstall the extension:

  1. Go to crintelltech.com and sign in

  2. Follow the installation prompts that appear

  3. Once installed, click the extension icon to confirm your name is displayed


โœ… How you'll know it's fixed

When the issue is resolved, you'll see:

  • โœ“ Your name displayed in the Recruitment Assist extension popup

  • โœ“ The extension icon shows as active (not grayed out)

  • โœ“ You can successfully push profiles from job boards
